JUDI returns home to Atlanta, and wins awards!

Phew, it’s been quite the month! First, thanks to everyone who turned up in London to represent, support and dance like freaks: we had a great run of shows, with the 93ft East one going down in our books as a classic. Thanks!

Now, to the pressing matter of AWARDS. We don’t expect ‘em, but it’s nice to gettem.

And buckle my shoe, the Creative Loafing ‘Best of Atlanta’ awards are pretty spot-on this year! JUDI CHICAGO wins both the critics and readers awards for ‘Best Electronic Act’ (although I don’t think we use more electronics than our friends in Noot D’ Noot, and we definitely use less electricity than Zoroaster!).

Congratulations to Noot D’ Noot, DJ Dookie Platters, Zoroaster, Randy (Tight Bros), The Selmanaires, The Fringe Factory Ladies, Cable & Tweed and all our other friends that won a much deserved Best of Atlanta award for 2008.

It’s been a good year!

This is also a good time to mention that Noot D’ Noot (AKA Best new band in Atlanta) and Judi Chicago (AKA Best electronic act in Atlanta) will be playing with DJ Dookie Platters (AKA Best Mixtape DJ) at the Drunken Unicorn on Halloween night, October 31!
