Hot on the heels of their sold-out headlining New Year’s Eve show with their friends Noot D’ Noot, JUDI CHICAGO begins 2009 by launching their campaign to bring DANCING to the streets of Atlanta.
DANCING is JUDI CHICAGO’s NEW monthly event at 529, East Atlanta Village. 529 is a NEW and much-needed venue in Atlanta music circles. It’s intimate, the soundsystem is pounding, and it’s got a great floor for DANCING.
DANCING is a post-everything celebration of movement to music, on the fourth Saturday of every month, sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon.
JUDI CHICAGO and monthly special guests will present a curated blend of live music and DJs playing kinetic sounds to move to. The format will be rhythmic: the full gamut from jacking acid-house, electro-funk, disco, bassline, techno, ragga, old skool hip-hop, jungle… An all-you-can-eat dancehall buffet.
Different ideas, experiments and themes will be explored within the venue each month. JUDI CHICAGO will explore the art, science and psychology of body-moving. It will be a load of fun.
Dancing often begins with one foot being placed in front of the other. JUDI CHICAGO will show you where to go from there. You don’t even neccessarily need two feet.
